The School of Engineering & Computer Science is constantly looking for dedicated individuals who are willing to contribute to the enhancement of knowledge through teaching and research. To this aim, the school maintains six levels of teaching staff. These levels and their qualifications appear below. We are looking for people with background in Computer Science/Engineering and allied subjects, Electrical Engineering and allied subjects, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Applied Physics and Statistics.

1. Junior Lecturer
For Engineering and Computer Science subjects, a four year degree in the field after HSC or A-Level. For other subjects, a fifth year degree is required.

2. Lecturer
For Engineering and Computer Science subjects, a fifth year degree in the field after HSC or A-Level with two years of experience in teaching/research in a position equivalent to Junior Lecturer of IUB. For other subjects three years of experience is required.

3. Senior Lecturer
a) One fifth year masters degree in the field.
b) Four to five years experience in undergraduate teaching / research or in the relevant professional field or two to three years in a position equivalent to a Lecturer at IUB.
c) Three professional publications in the field of specialization in a reputed journal of which two as a Lecturer.

4. Assistant Professor
a) Ph.D in the subject from a North American or Equivalent University is required.
b) Two years' work experience in university teaching / research or in the professional field or two years' experience as a Senior Lecturer.
c) One publication in the field of specialization in reputed journal as Senior Lecturer.

5. Associate Professor
a) Ph.D in the subject from any North American or equivalent University is required.
b) University level teaching experience of six to seven years as an Assistant Professor is required; however, some graduate level teaching experience is preferred.
c) Four publications in the field of specialization in reputed journals as Assistant Professor.
d) Teaching experience is relaxed for individuals having experience in supervising graduate thesis/dissertations.

6. Professor
a) Ph.D in the subject from any North American or equivalent University is required.
b) Seven to eight years experience in teaching/research in a reputed university as an Associate Professor with some graduate teaching experience.
c) Five publications in the field of specialization in reputed journals as Associate Professor of which one is in a journal of international standard published from a developed country.
d) Teaching experience is relaxed for individuals having experience in supervising graduate thesis/dissertations.
