Research Activities
Faculty members of SECS are actively engaged in research and innovation to enhance their knowledge. Some of the areas in which research are being conducted in the school are climate and weather modeling, high performance computing, computational fluid dynamics, network planning and management, embedded systems, software engineering, power systems, nonlinear dynamics, etc. The school runs a weekly seminar program where the faculty members and students share their research with others. The school also encourages the students to attend seminar and conferences with their research findings.

Study Tour
Study tours are conducted by the school at regular intervals to familiarize the students with the running and operation of large and middle scale industries. These include visits to power plants, pharmaceutical industries, telecommunication systems, electronic assembly plants, textile industries, etc.

Job Placement
At the end of their degrees, job placement assistance is given to the student from the school and from the Office of the Career Guidance and Placement.

Club Activities
Extra-curricular activities of the students within the school are organized under the Club of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS). The club organizes lectures, career workshops, cultural activities, etc. In addition to the CECS the university has numerous other students clubs through which the students can engage in extra-curricular activities. These includes debating club, book club, literary society, film club, photography club, and many others..
